The origami crane, known as "senbazuru" in Japanese, represents prayers and happiness in Japanese culture. It is often given as a gift to family and friends on special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, births, and anniversaries as a way to express good wishes and prayers. Additionally, during times of war, the origami crane has become a symbol of peace and anti-war sentiment, with many people folding cranes to commemorate peace and pray for peace. This symbol holds great meaning and value in Japanese culture.

However, this crane is crocheted, not folded.

Yarn:  Mondial - Cable 5 - #80 pastel blue & #86 pink
